The Importance of Virtual Networking

While companies move their services and workforce online, so do the opportunities to network. Look into professional organizations in your area related to your career. Regardless of your field, professional organizations continue to release newsletters that can keep you up to date with industry trends and potential postings. Some organizations are continuing with their networking events virtually, which can provide opportunities to hear guest speakers, ask questions, or meet other professionals. If you are attending a virtual networking event, be sure to present yourself online as professionally as you would in person. Also, make sure your personal media presence is appropriate and job ready, something you would be willing a potential employer to see. Keeping connected remotely to your field of interest can keep you informed of job trends, and prepare you for when industries are allowed to re-open fully. Take advantage of the time to attend online networking from your home.  If you would like to know more about how to Network, please visit our events page for upcoming live and on demand webinars.
